ENGAGEMENT

There are many ways to serve Disciple Making Movement efforts in the Twin Cities, and there are many different organizations and ministries serving with this focus. Here is a list of recommended organizations, ministries and outreaches to get connected to with a focus on ENGAGING diaspora people groups within the Greater Twin Cities Metro.

  • SOMALI ADULT LITERACY TRAINING: Sharing Jesus with our Somali neighbors through literacy and friendship.

  • THE HOSPITALITY CENTER: Sharing the love of Jesus Christ through hospitality with international students and scholars in the Twin Cities.

  • USA HOMESTAYS: USA Homestays want families with warm, open hearts to welcome students into their homes and share life together. We want students to have a loving, welcoming, hospitable experience while they’re here, that they might experience a true home away from home. We also want to create an opportunity for open dialogue about values and culture so that everyone can learn from each other and grow together.

  • FIREBASE: The Firebase Movement is a network of US-based missionaries, local churches, and houses of prayer that have joined together to see day and night worship and prayer raised up to fuel the Great Commission and to see the church empowered and equipped to engage our culture with the gospel until the return of Jesus.

  • BREAKTHROUGH MINISTRIES: Breakthrough Ministries is obediently committed to living out our purpose of "advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ" to a world in desperate need of His love through the mission of "The Great Commission."  They carry out the mission through various ministry programs that provide many  opportunities for people (including the Church) to engage in that mission and experience the Kingdom of God first hand.  Their ministry programs are well-organized and their activities are designed to be a blessing by meeting the needs of those they minister as well as volunteers who come to serve.
